Tuesday 1st January 2019
We have now finished our Saturday clinics, we have weekday clinics available, please phone to make an appointment
For 2018 our flu vaccine deliveries will be staged over 9 weeks from
11th September to 16th November. We have no control over the timing of the deliveries but we will have flu clinics available to book your appointment.
This year there are two types of flu vaccine, this will benefit patients by ensuring that they have the most suitable vaccine that gives them the best protection against flu.
The two vaccines are:
Adjuvanted trivalent flu vaccine (aTIV) – this is licensed for people aged 65 years and over, deliveries of this vaccine will be staged between 28th September and 16th November.
Quadrivalent vaccine (QIV) – this is recommended for adults from 18 years to 65 years who are at increased risk from flu because of a long term health condition.
If you are currently 64 years of age and will be 65 years before 31st March 2019 then you will qualify for the over 65 years vaccine
Eligible children will be offered a nasal spray, no injections required.
Thank you for your understanding
